The culture of Bukidnon is indeed preserved.
To start the events for the 102nd Charter Celebration, the Bukidnon tribes specifically the lumad tribes are invited to lead the Pamuhat.
Pamuhat ritual is a thanks giving or offering and seeking for a blessing and protection. The offerings is part of the ceremony that’s why there are chickens and pig that is being offered. The chickens are offered to give thanks for the good weather, and pig for the unity of prayers for the said celebration. All the offerings have symbols for success and peaceful celebration.
The ritual was led by Datu Pamulong and his members. The prayer may be uttered in different language that others may not understand, but still the intention and sincerity of it were felt and observed. These are all done for the success and peaceful charter celebration. And of course, not only for the Charter Celebration of Manolo Fortich but as well as for asking guidance for our candidate Miss. Judith Polestico as she represents Manolo Fortich for Bb. Laga Ta Bukidnon.
Indeed, Pamuhat ritual was held to seek blessing and protection from the spirits for the success of the events as we celebrate the 102nd Charter Celebration of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. We must all be proud and honoured that our culture is preserved. Mabuhay Manolo Fortich!
