It’s Showtime: The Annual Horse and Carabao Show

As for the record, the 2nd day of April 2019 had a very hot and humid weather, but it didn’t stop the audience from Manolo Fortich and of the neighbouring municipality to witness this annual Horse and Carabao Show. For this year, the track was set at the school ground of Damilag Integrated School, Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

Horse and carabao jockeys and enthusiasts from Mindanao and Visayas region joined this adrenaline – heightening show, resulting to cheers and applause resound. To add the excitement, this show was all for free, made possible by the support of our Municipal Mayor and his constituents.

This event was conducted as part of the celebration of the 102nd Charter Day of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

Flag Hoisting and Parade

Flag raising, drumming and rejoicing for a triumphant ending!

The 22 Barangays from the Municipality of Manolo Fortich joined the hoisting of flags at the Municipal Hall as they witness the remarkable victory of the 102nd Founding Anniversary Celebration of our beloved and most treasured Municipality.

Several conspicuous personas highlighted the closing ceremony of the feast as they appeared on the program to show support on the successful end of the charter celebration.

102nd Charter Celebration: The Culmination

The 4th day of April 2019 remarks a triumphant conclusion of 102nd Charter Day Celebration of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Constituted with the people behind the success of the said event, the program was held at the Municipal gymnasium. It started at exactly nine thirty in the morning and was ended later at noon.

The event highlighted the awarding of the outstanding citizens of Manolo Fortich who were in one way or another, had contributed their skills and talents that brought our Municipality to be on top among others. Also, this event was conducted to give justice to all the efforts that Manolonians inculcated during the long run of the entire celebration.

Surely, this year’s first ever Banog – Banog Festival wouldn’t be possible if without the full support of our very own and ever active Municipal Mayor, Mayor Clive D. Quiño, together with his constituents. Kudos to you Mayor! Kudos to the people of Manolo Fortich!

THE PAMUHAT RITUAL

The culture of Bukidnon is indeed preserved.

To start the events for the 102nd Charter Celebration, the Bukidnon tribes specifically the lumad tribes are invited to lead the Pamuhat.
Pamuhat ritual is a thanks giving or offering and seeking for a blessing and protection. The offerings is part of the ceremony that’s why there are chickens and pig that is being offered. The chickens are offered to give thanks for the good weather, and pig for the unity of prayers for the said celebration. All the offerings have symbols for success and peaceful celebration.

The ritual was led by Datu Pamulong and his members. The prayer may be uttered in different language that others may not understand, but still the intention and sincerity of it were felt and observed. These are all done for the success and peaceful charter celebration. And of course, not only for the Charter Celebration of Manolo Fortich but as well as for asking guidance for our candidate Miss. Judith Polestico as she represents Manolo Fortich for Bb. Laga Ta Bukidnon.

Indeed, Pamuhat ritual was held to seek blessing and protection from the spirits for the success of the events as we celebrate the 102nd Charter Celebration of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. We must all be proud and honoured that our culture is preserved. Mabuhay Manolo Fortich!

Municipal Olympic season 6

OPENING PARADE

What a wonderful day to pass the positivity!

               Municipality of Manolo Fortich is having a Municipal Olympic season 6 parade, with the participation of Mayor Clive Quiño, first Lady Maam Rina Quiño, Vice Mayor Miguel Demata, Sangguniang Bayan Members, and the 22 barangays of Manolo Fortich with their respected Barangay councils, SK councils, players and the drums and lyre.

Seeing everyone smiling, enjoying seeing the drums and lyre as they make noise to the street. As we can see the faces of these young and pretty band majors, they are just enjoying performing even the sun shines so hard to them, so as the people that cheering and they are even dancing while they walk because of the beat of the drums and lyre.

Afterwards, the oath taking ceremony of sportsmanship is followed and lead by the SK Federation President, Hon. John Anthony Leyson and by the player’s participation. It is very obvious that the participants have camaraderie and want to start the event peacefully and enjoy.

Sportsmanship is important, to follow and respect the ground rules of the game and also, to enable the players to know their safety, and to be polite to their co-players and to everyone. As we celebrate the 102nd Charter Celebration of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, keep in touch and have fun!
